Went hiking with Maggie (my little sister) and Seles (our black lab). Maggie was less than thrilled to be along, but seeing as how it was her only way out of the house that day, she humored me. I am guessing that she wished she had been confined to the house when we finished Rattlesnake (which is short, but steep) and headed to go hit Lil Si. She was a trooper though as she carried the pack down for me as my knees seem to be a little shaky on the way down. I told her not to mention this to anyone as my older sister has recruited my parents to harass me about getting an MRI (minor tear in my ACL a few years ago). This was the first thing Maggie mentioned at dinner than night. Surprisingly I now have a doctors appt for next week. I am a little worried about the results, but figure i should find out now. I am using the Olympics to keep me inspired during this start-up training when you think you can never make it. I am also telling myself that it doesnt hurt my knee to go up, just to come down. Worst case scenerio, i can make it to the top of Rainier and then slide on back down.
