Went running with Brad today at lunch. He was patient with my pace. My legs were a little heavy from stairs the night before and my knee seemed to flair up and get irritated right away. But it was a beautiful day and it felt like spring was coming. After the run i was convinced that i needed a grilled cheese sandwich rather than the salad i had brought for lunch. I started downing caffiene to try and get amped up for the hike planned for tonight.
After work I met Cindy and we hiked Rattlesnake. I was concerned as my knee was still sore and i was tired. It ended up being the best hike i have had so far. It felt easy and the sun had just set when we got to the top-It was amazing. There were also others there from the climb that were hiking, but they are what I call AK's (*Ass-Kickers, you know with the full packs, trekking poles and a ridiculous pace) so we didnt hike with them. I broke in my new headlamp (thanks Mike) on the way down. All in all, despite the knee, i am feel like i have made it over the hump of terror and am beginning to look forward to the challenge.
