Cindy was very intent that we be on time to the first group climb on Rainier so she showed up at my house at 5:50. (If you know me you understand the impact.) We made it with plenty of time.
Had snow shoes on which was great for me since my shoes have terrible traction. The weather was very foggy and we often had to stop so that we didnt loose sight of people. But i was just glad we didnt have snow and wind. We didnt make it to the point we were hoping as it got too icy and crampons were needed. But it was good to get familiar with the whole scene. I felt much more confident after being with the large group and seeing that i was right on track physically. It was great to meet other climbers.
